Welcome

Thank you for visiting our website!

Feel free to browse through the various areas of our website and learn about our fellowship.  Our church is a warm and loving group of believers trying to maneuver through all the difficult circumstances facing our world today.  During these days we'll be gathering virtually, just as every other church will be doing.    So as we face these days together, be assured that the character of our fellowship is based on the principles listed below.  At FBC, you will find:

  • A caring congregation that will gladly welcome you
  • Preaching/teaching that is centered on the Word of God
  • Ministries to meet the spiritual needs of every age

So, watch our "Home" page for announcements about the church activities during the weeks to follow.

In His Care,
Pastor David Thompson

  • May 2020 Ministry Plan

    Hello FBC Family and Friends!

As we enter the month of May and we find a reduction of Covid-19 restrictions, we want to make you aware of how we will handle our church ministries for May or until such time as we receive further direction.  We will approach the ministries individually for clarity.

    Sunday Morning Worship Services

For the month of May, we will have two separate worship services at 9:30 and 11:00 am.  Choose which service you would like to attend based on your own convenience and schedule.  Please make note of the following points.

    • Two worship services will allow for smaller groups and easier compliance with CDC guidelines and social distancing. We are hoping that we will have a balance in the number of folks attending at 9:30 as compared to those attending at 11 am.
    • There will be no Nursery services or children’s church at this time, but children are welcome to attend the worship service and be seated with their parents.
    • We ask that everyone consider the following questions when deciding to attend.  If you answer “yes” to any of these four questions, we respectfully and lovingly ask that you NOT come to services until you’ve completed a self-quarantine of 14 days.
      • Have you been sick in recent days?
      • Are you running a fever?
      • Have you traveled outside the United States recently?
      • Have you been around anyone with Covid-19 and not been self-quarantined for 14 days since that exposure?
    • Wearing masks is a personal decision that each of you should make.
    • The 11:00 am worship service will be streamed live on Facebook, so anyone who chooses not to attend can still participate in the worship service.

Sunday School Bible Study at 9:30

The following classes have asked to resume in-person meetings as of May17, 2020..  Any adult is invited to step into one of these classes even if it is not your "regular" class group.

    • "Lighthouse Class" facilitated by Troy Gall
    • "Mary and Martha's Class" facilitated by Mary Lee Smothers
    • "Pathfinders Round Table" facilitated by Ginger Tanagho

Please note that these classes MAY take place in a different room setting than usual as we will be seeking to place them in larger rooms to accommodate the social distancing need.  Room assignments will be made public as we near Sunday... and of course, they will be made clear as people arrive on Sunday morning to attend class.

Sunday morning Bible studies will continue to be offered as a Zoom Video lesson for those who would like to join.  If you would like to join the Zoom Bible study, watch for the Bible study announcement and link to be posted later in the week through email, Facebook and on our church web page.

    Sunday 6:00 PM Bible Study

Sunday 6:00 PM Bible studies will continue as a Zoom Video lesson.  If you would like to join the Bible study, watch for the Bible study announcement and link to be posted later in the week through email, Facebook and on our church web page.

    Wednesday 6:30 PM Bible Study

Wednesday 6:30 PM Bible studies will continue as a Zoom Video lesson.  If you would like to join the Bible study watch for the Bible study announcement later in the week by email, Facebook and posting on our church web page.

    Youth and Children’s Ministry

There will be no in-person or on-campus meetings until further notice.

No other FBC ministries to meet until further notice.

Again, this is our tentative plan for the month of May.  As circumstances change or we receive new direction and guidance from health officials, we may adjust the plan accordingly and will be careful to notify you of any changes.  Our focus is on serving the Lord while doing everything we can to ensure the safety and well-being of our church family.

    Be blessed. Be safe.

    Pastor David and Donna
